General Conference is fast approaching so lets take a word of advice from Pres Uchtdorf and prepare now. He pointed out three ways in the Sept 2011 Ensign of how we can better receive, remember and apply the words that will be spoken.1. "Members of the church are entitled to personal revelation as they listen to and study the inspired words spoken at general conference":
-ponder the answers you want to be answered
- have your hearf filled with gratitude for the blessings of life.
2. "Don't discount a message merely because it sounds familiar"
- Prophets always taught by law of repetition, helps us learn and build a better foundation before we can grow
3. "The words spoken at general conference should be a compass that points the way for us during the coming months."
- it is our responsibility to listen and apply
- words and revelation act as a Liahona, guiding us through the unknown that lies ahead.
